On Thursday, April 11, 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. classes begin at Blessed Sacrament for adults who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation, completing the sacraments of initiation for a Catholic to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church. The Sacraments of Initiation are Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
Confirmation is for ALL baptized Catholics! It is never too late to receive this powerful sacrament.
The April 11 class is the first of four classes where the following topics will be covered, based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
- God and the Trinity,
- Jesus
- The Church
- the Holy Spirit and the Sacrament of Confirmation
The remaining three classes will meet Saturday, April 13, 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 27, 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Please contact Susan Doyle, bscc_dre@yahoo.com, 703-998-6100 to register for classes or for more information.
Those who are preparing for Adult Confirmation have two options to receive the sacrament at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More in Arlington. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Pentecost weekend on Sat., May 18, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m.
